Paddle Caching:

Have you ever heard of geocaching? Geocaching is a global treasure hunt using a GPS and clues to find hidden caches. The caches often have some treasure or items of interest in them. There are often clues or riddles that lead to the hidden cache.
Victoria Waterfront Tours has placed a series of caches in the Inner Harbour, the Outer Harbour, Juan de Fuca Strait and the Gorge Waterway that can only be found by paddling. Register for the program when you rent our kayaks to begin searching for the paddle caches. We have clues and GPS coordinates to help you find them. Find all of the caches and solve the final riddle to win the paddle caching prizes. This is a great way to practice your paddling skills and have fun. This would be a great activity for teams to compete against each other.

Pricing: $45 per person / 3 hr kayak rental; Paddle Cache clues and GPS coordinates. (and prizes!)

Personal Paddle Challenge:

How would you like to paddle to Vancouver? What about Seattle? We can help you!
Victoria Waterfront Tours has set up a Personal Paddle Challenge that lets you log your progress as you paddle an equal distance to a destination of your choice. Once you register for the challenge we will give you a Personal Paddle Log that lets you keep track of your nautical miles, paddling speed and overall distance as you paddle to your destination. You will need a GPS device to help you measure your data. Once you have reached your milestones and your final destination in equal distance you will be eligible to win some great prizes.
We will publish paddler results on our web site (privacy protected of course!). The cost for Registering and for the Personal Paddle Log is $15.00. Regular rental prices apply. If you have your own kayak you can pay the registration fee and be eligible for the prizes.
